SwingtownTim Roth is set to star in a drama on Foxthat will be broadcast early in 2009 going along the lines of other film stars who are making forays into television (Glenn Close, Holly Hunter, etc.) – the drama, titled “Lie to Me”, is based on the work of a real-life scientist who is able to read the human body and voice to determine if someone is being truthful. Fox is so behind this project that they’ve ordered a complete set of 13 episodes, if it flops there will still be a DVD.

Three premieres tonight, not much watching on late night TV.

8:00pm Greatest American Dog CBS – Series Premiere. Jarod Miller hosts a series that rewards one special dog and its owner with $250,000 and the undying love of a nation.

8:45pm All About Eve TCM – (1950) Bette Davis takes a young and seemingly naive aspiring actress (Anne Baxter) under her wing.

9:00pm Last Comic Standing NBC – The comics compete for immunity in three speed rounds – 2 hour special
