May is drawing to a close and it was a great month with 2 shows at Boston Improv and the world-famous Comedy Studio in Cambridge. I did really well at both and will hopefully be invited back soon. The show I created and host, The Happy Fun Time All-Star Comedy Variety Show at Rumpy’s in Lenox, MA, has been building up steam and Memorial Day weekend gave us our first standing-room only show. We have a lot more of those to look forward to once the Summer tourist season starts in the Berkshires. We’ve had comedians from Boston and New York and on June 17 we will have Chris Neff from LA (Ari Shaffir’s Monters of Comedy, Just For Laughs, etc.) and Yoshi Obayashi from NYC (Anti Social Network Tour, “Dave’s Old Porn), with more comics from Boston, NY, as well as our very capable regional comics.
This week KPCC published my interview with Reggie Watts, who I adore – up next will be an interview with Hannibal Buress and then Scott Aukerman. I also got to go to the Comedy Awards, and Peabody Awards (see videos below):
